Hélène Ndoye Diop, LCPC, bilingual English/French therapist practising telehealth in Maryland.

About

I'm Hélène.

I'm a licensed clinical professional counselor with seventeen years of practice, working with adults, couples, and families across Maryland by telehealth. I work in both English and French.

My work is to help you clearly understand your own patterns so that the decisions you make next are genuinely yours.

I draw from many theoretical approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Schema Therapy, the Gottman method, Psychodynamic, and Mindfulness-based approaches, tailored to your unique needs.

What I work with

The concerns I work with most.

Relationships sit at the centre, and so do the anxieties, losses, and transitions around them. Each area has a page of its own.

The practice

A quiet, exacting practice — organised around what changes when you understand yourself.

"Supporting individuals and families to become the authors of their lives, rather than implementing others' visions of their lives."

That line is the anchor of the work at C-G Health. Seventeen years of practice across three continents — Europe, North America, and South America — have shaped a way of working that takes seriously how much of the difficulty people bring to therapy started as someone else's script: a family expectation, a cultural role, or a professional identity that stopped fitting.

The therapy offered here is precise rather than performative. It first examines the patterns of the last several years — the behaviours, the emotional map, the recurring cognitive habits — and then, only then, moves collaboratively into what to change. Understanding first. Decisions second.

Sessions run in English or French, or a natural mix of the two — a genuinely bilingual practice that almost nobody in Maryland offers. For Francophone clients, that means the language of your inner life doesn't have to be translated on the way out.

Couples work is the primary specialty — the practice draws heavily on Schema, Emotionally Focused, and Gottman approaches — and runs alongside individual work on anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, and the identity questions that arise at every stage from young adulthood through later life.

Veterans and first responders are welcome; the work with them is grounded in what actually happens in high-pressure lives, not a generic template. And as an LCPC and Substance Use Clinicians Board-Approved Supervisor in Maryland, the clinical bar is consistently held high — for you, and for the clinicians trained here.

Common questions

Before you reach out.

  • C-G Health is a fully telehealth practice: every appointment happens through secure video. There is no physical office. Sessions are open to residents of Maryland only, which is where the LCPC license is held.

  • Yes. Maryland licensure means clients must be physically present in Maryland during each session, whether at home, at work, or while traveling within the state. Any change in state of residence needs a conversation before the next appointment.

  • Yes. Sessions can be conducted fluently in either English or French, or a natural mix of the two, whichever supports the work best for you. This is a genuine bilingual practice, not translation on the fly.

  • Individual sessions (53–60 minutes) are $180. Couples sessions (75 minutes) are $280. Payment is collected at the time of each session. See the rates page for the full policy, including the cancellation fee.

  • The first appointment is a longer intake. It covers what's bringing you in, relevant background, and how a course of therapy with C-G Health typically unfolds. You'll leave with a clearer sense of pacing, focus, and the shape of the work ahead.
